The location of the show was in a Unity Wood, the site of historic mine workings in Cornwall. Dig was created as a response to firstly the site and also the nature of the process of artist intersecting with a loaded location, and the language and methods they bring to bear. With irony and a sense of drama, Dig hinted at the possibilities of what you might find in a deserted wood, but also the tension and projection that the viewer could bring to bear on the work, extending its abilty to enter the imagination. A mock archeological dig was in process, with the reasearchers no where to be found.
